Initial thoughts

When I bought Frenzy by Driven Sports I was excited. Really excited. I had never taken it’s predecessor “Craze” however I’d heard only good things about it. This stuff was said by most reviewers to be as good, if not better than Craze.

I’m now close to the end of my tub, so here’s my honest opinion so far.

Effectiveness – 5/10

The most important factor is how effective a pre-workout supplement is at doing it’s intended job, which is generally to provide intense energy, focus and endurance to the consumer. I have experienced all of these things in many pre-workouts before but Frenzy by Driven Sports was dismal at best.

I wake up at 5:45 am every morning, take my PWO then do 40 minutes of cardio from 6:20 am – 7:00 am. Often, from PWO’s I’ve taken in the past, I have been practically bouncing off the walls within 15 minutes of taking it. With Frenzy by Driven Sports, I struggle to wake up.

To give a comparitive example, Mesomorph 2.0 would have me wired and itching to workout from half a scoop (1 scoop always being the serving size). With Frenzy, 2 scoops barely wakes me up.

During my workouts I do still notice a small “second wind” about half way through which helps me finish off my workout. This is great, but I have experienced this with every PWO I’ve taken in the past. The hardest part for me is getting up to work out in the first place, so this product is definitely not for me.

Taste and mixability – 4/10

I’ve read countless reviews in the past of people who simply can’t hack the taste of a PWO, no matter how effective it is. I’ve always thought that I’d never be overly affected by the taste, but for the first time ever, I’m left feeling rather ill after drinking my glass of Frenzy. The flavour is “Orange Cream”. Oddly enough, when I first tried it, I was pleasantly surprised that it actually had a “creamy” taste to it. But after just a few mornings the taste started to become foul to the point of almost throwing it back up. I really can’t wait to be rid of this stuff, although I’ll finish the tub considering how expensive the supplements are.

Side effects

Many people can’t stand the “tingling” sensation you get from most PWO supplements. This is from beta-alanine, which Frenzy by Driven Sports does not have high amounts of. So for many, this would be a better suited PWO than some of the more intense ones. But personally I embrace the beta-alanine rush. The feeling for me is like “I have to workout before my body tears out of my skin” and there’s no better motivator. Beta-alanine is also incredibly good for someone who is training. You can read a great article about it from Bodybuilding.com here.

Conclusion

If you’re after the TL;DR of this article, here it is. Frenzy by Driven Sports gives significantly less energy, pump and focus than any other PWO I have ever tried, which is many. It’s tasty to start with, but taste buds seem to reject it if taken daily. And if you’re looking for something with a good beta-alanine rush, this isn’t for you either. I really wish I had something good to say about Frenzy as I was so excited about it initially, but I simply can’t wait to finish the tub and move on.

Unfortunately I no longer have discounted Driven Sports Frenzy for sale HOWEVER if you’re looking for a huge performance enhancing preworkout, I recommend getting your hands on Upload from here:

Hi, I'm Lee. I am by no means a medical or nutritional professional, I am just a real life keto "success story", meaning someone who has successfully lost a lot of weight using the ketogenic diet. My information is often non-technical which I feel is better for most of my readers as most of the information available online for ketogenic dieting is too technical, too confusing and doesn't just "get to the point" and show people how to simply lose weight via ketogenic dieting.
